Watch Dogs 2 makes some meaningful improvements on its predecessor. But does it deliver on the potential of its premise? And what is the hacker resistance movement DedSec actually resisting? Watch our review to find out!

My review of Watch Dogs 2 for Feminist Frequency. A game that acknowledges structural racism but is in gameplay terms just another sloppy Ubisoft open-world game. A game that presents you with an array of abilities but discourages play and experimentation. A game with a San Francisco that is recognizable while glossing over the real things that matter in San Francisco today. A game about the abuse of power that ultimately has no critique of systems of power.
